Artist Bio
Nuray is an IT professional turned artist after retirement. She says “I challenged myself in learning art by taking classes, workshops and practice, practice, practice. After painting old houses, landscapes of Istanbul, still life etc. I found what I wanted to paint. I discovered creating paintings in which I can explore my heritage, folklore and beginnings from the bygone centuries by painting Kilim Carpet motifs of ancient Anatolia.”Her paintings, vastly different in style and emotion, reflect herversatility and talent as can be seen.Nuray has been exhibiting her work in shows since 2005 and many reside in private collections.
