Announcing The 2012 Plano Art Association BMW Show

“Things That Make You Go….Vroom!”

“Vroom!” ~ An onomatopoeic early sound made by children throughout the world, understandable in many different languages as denoting motion, speed, something fast moving.

As children grow they learn many words to describe this concept and they learn that speed and motion apply to so many different things.

We’d just love to know – what is it that makes you go Vroom!?! What do you think of when you think of things in motion, of speed? Is it how fast time flies? How swiftly a bird of prey swoops from the skies? How rapidly a car, animal or insect accelerates? Is it the rapid flow of a river? Or is it how in the blink of an eye your child who once shuffled about in their little toy car saying “Vroom!” is now all grown up and driving to school?

Be a part of our latest art show. Let your imagination fly. Create what represents “Vroom!” to you and tell us all about it.

The event will be held at the showroom of our wonderful sponsors, Classic BMW in Plano.

Your artwork will be showcased in the midst of their beautiful BMW cars, all works of art in their own right.

The opening night reception will be held on Thursday May 3rd.

This will be a night filled with “Vroom!” A night to come and see racy cars and amazing art work, sample the best of American fast food and maybe try some of our even racier cocktails!

The Details

Email your name and contact details, images, titles, sizes and media. Also include an explanation of how your entries relate to the theme of the show (this text will be displayed next your work).
